In early 2018, I began studying Buddhism. I was searching for something that made sense, as I was already on a spiritual journey. Then I found Buddhism, and it’s philosophy changed everything for me. I began listening to the Dalai Lama and Thich Nhat Hanh. I have read a number of books by them both, and all are very enlightening.
Buddhism has helped me grow as a person and it has helped my life so much. I believe in the afterlife, as most Buddhist’s do, but I know for certain it exists. Love and compassion are the main focus of Buddhism, including mindfulness. Buddhism has helped me with depression, of which I have suffered with previously. I practice meditation mostly everyday, I try to do it as much as possible, as it helps balance things out. I was looking for the truth, and in Buddhism I found it. As mentioned in a previous post here, there is a lot of dis-info on the internet. It is very well known that Buddhist's don’t use the internet or watch television. At least actual Buddhist monk’s don’t, and for very good reason’s. A lot of the internet and television is corrupt, and it makes sense that they don’t watch it. Buddhist monks will teach you, that there is no death and there is nothing to fear. Death is not the end and is only the beginning of everything. Although, because of my experiences with the spirit world, I already was aware of this. But Buddhism has helped to confirm this as the reality. Personally, I believe Buddhism should be taught in every school on the planet. As I believe it would help give guidance to young children, so they understand how to live a life here on planet earth. If you haven’t come a cross Buddhism before, I recommend you do so, as it might well convert you and you will become a Buddhist yourself.
